Klein Cosmetics has a profit margin of 5.0%, a total assets turnover ratio of 1.5 times, no debt and therefore an equity multipl

ier of 1.0, and an ROE of 7.5%. The CFO recommends that the firm borrow money, use the funds to buy back stock, and raise the equity multiplier to 2.0. The size of the firm (assets) would not change. She thinks that operations would not be affected, but interest on the new debt would lower the profit margin to 4.5%. This would probably be a good move, as it would increase the ROE from 7.5% to 13.5%.

Answer:

A.True

Explanation:

the net profit will drop for 0.05 to 0.045

but the as the equity multiplier increase to 2 this means equity finance 50% of the company thus, the return on equity will be of:

Assets turnover x profit margin = 0.0675

that is the return on assets.

but equity present half the assets thus, the multiplier is 2

return on assets  x equity multiplier = return on equity

0,0675 x 2  = .135 = 13.5%

This makes the statemnt true, the comapny will benefit from taking debt as will increase the return on the stockholders which is the goal for a good management.

This Statement is True. Leading indicators are events that have been found to occur before changes in business activities.

Business is the practice of earning a living or making money by manufacturing, purchasing, and selling items (such as goods and services). It is also "any profit-making activity or enterprise."

Having a business name does not detach the owner from the business entity, which means the owner is responsible and liable for the business's debts. Creditors may seize the owner's personal belongings if the company incurs debts. In a business structure, corporate tax rates are not permissible. All business income is taxed directly to the proprietor.

The phrase is also frequently used informally (though not by lawyers or public authorities) to refer to a business or cooperative.

Keith_Richards [23]

The option that's true about Padraig’s gross pay and total employee benefits is "His total employee benefits are 12.5% of his annual gross pay of $64,000"

His annual gross pay is $64,000, his employment benefits will be:

= 12.5% × $64000

= 12.5/100 × $6400

= 0.125 × $64000

= $8000

Therefore, the annual compensation will be:

= $64000 + $8000

= $72000

In conclusion, the correct option is C.

However, he would have a much higher opportunity cost, which is why Neighbor Scotty has the comparative advantage. He may not be able to mow the lawn as quickly as Lebron, but he can do it with a lowe opportunity cost.

Why is having a long credit history with a few blemishes that were corrected better than a short history that is clear?
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

Lenders don't like risk because it can lose them money, so they're cautious on who they're lending to. They do this by checking people's credit history. They prefer people who have longer credit history even with a few blemishes that are corrected rather than lending to people who have a short clear history mainly because they have little to no experience and can be unpredictable what they may do.
