Equation R: -3y = -3x - 9

Equation S: y = x + 3

Replace y in Equation R with equation S:

-3(x+3) = -3x - 9

Use distributive property:

-3x -9 = -3x -9

Because both sides of the equation are identical x can be any number and they would still be equal.

This means there are Infinite solutions.

Let's solve the system of equations with the substitution method

Equation R: -3y = -3x - 9

Equation S: y = x + 3

Substitute y in Equation R with equation S:

-3(x+3) = -3x - 9

-3x -9 = -3x -9

Because both sides of the equation are identical x can be any number and they would still be equal.

This means there are Infinite solutions.

Stuck on this math question
Bess [88]

Answer:

SinA = √5/3

CosB = √5/3

Step-by-step explanation:

First let us find the value of a. This is illustrated below:

a^2 = 6^2 — 4^2

a^2 = 36 — 16

a^2 = 20

Take the square root of both side

a = √20 = √(4 x 5) = √4 x √5

a = 2√5

From the diagram,

For sinA

Opp = 2√5

Hypo = 6

Adj = 4

SinA = opp /Hypo

SinA = 2√5/6

SinA = √5/3

For CosB

Opp = 4

Hypo = 6

Adj = 2√5

CosB = Adj /Hypo

CosB = 2√5/6

CosB = √5/3

How do I write a rule for the nth term of the sequence?
crimeas [40]

first of all we have the 5th term and 2nd term

T5=768 =a*r^4

T2=-12=a*r ^1

make a subject of formula in the both equations

that is a=T2/r and T5/r^4

a=12/r and a=768/r^4

when u equate them u will get

-64=r^3 so r=-4 then to find a that is 1st term

since second term is T2=a*r=12 an r=-4 then

a=12/-4 hence a=-3
