Pls help I didn't get to watch the instructions so I can't figure it out
Gwar [14]

Answer:

To give the reader an idea of the complicated work required for the garment's worker's strike.

Explanation:

This passage is quite complicated. That is because the needs of the strike organizers were complicated as well. First, the speakers had to be found to report the progress of the strike back to the workers. Then, a fund would also have to be raised for strikers so they can access help with legal and personal problems. It is said that publicity(attention) was also a vital need for the strikers. They obviously needed the community's attention to make a difference, but this is dangerous because the strikers were targeted and so were the workers who requested the strike. Photos and eyewitness accounts of the workers on the boundary, in other words, the picket lines, were harrassed because the police obviously didn't approve of the strikers. Not only was the work of a striker complicated, but it was also dangerous.

I hope this helped in some way.

inysia [295]

Answer:

Financial benefits related to unemployment and home loans due to the GI Bill caused boom in the housing development outside the cities.

Explanation:

 • In the 1950s, the era of war was over and a new era was starting in which the veterans were returning to their homeland after World War II to start their lives as normal citizens in the American economy.
 • To benefit the veterans, GI Bill was passed and it granted the veterans with unemployment pay for 1 year, guaranties for home loans, etc.

 • These areas outside the city were sub-urban and hence were popularly called Suburbs.

Which statement explains how the Tenth Amendment differs from the rest of the Bill of Rights?
kotegsom [21]

B. The Tenth Amendment protects the powers of states, rather than individual liberties.

Explanation:

Most of the Bill of Rights goes over and protects individual liberties, like freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, protection of unreasonable searches, etc. This is where the Tenth Amendment differs.

The Tenth Amendment grants any and all of the powers that are not reserved to the national government, to the states. This was very important, as many people during this time were scared of tyranny and were nervous about the national government having too much power. While things are still reserved for the government, the states have the power to do the rest.

Why does Menelaus still value and accept Helen, even though her elopement with Paris led to the Trojan War?
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer:

Menelaus still values and accepts Helen because she is still very beautiful, he also blames the gods for her actions and not her.

Explanation:

Helen is the most beautiful woman in the world and that was why Paris wanted her.

Although Helen went with Paris willingly, the legend tells us that it was at the will of Aphrodite, who promised Paris the love of the most beautiful woman in the world in exchange for a golden apple. (The apple itself wasn't really important as it was a contest between Aphrodite, Hera, and Athena to see who was the most beautiful goddess.) So, invariably the decision to go with Paris was not Helen's fault but the blame rests with the gods who made her do it.
