Please permit me to point out the hazards of reckless driving on city road. I shall feel grateful if you publish my views in the column of your esteemed newspaper.
Rash driving has become the order of the day. So many accidents take place every day on the city roads. Drivers play with the lives of children and old men. Young boys feel the thrill of speed. They do not observe traffic rules. They take pride in overtaking other vehicles and going against light at the crossing. All this results in fatal accidents. The law-abiding citizens are caught in this peril.
I request the authorities through these column to enforce the rule of the road and educate the people about traffic rules.
In case anyone needs extra confirmation, the correct answer is indeed:
"It helps convey the idea that, during apartheid, many South Africans who disapproved of their government's racist policies did not trust the police to follow the law or to be honest about their actions."
