Answer:

I just came from France to a colony near the Hudson River, I have come to work as a fur hunter, it is a great business, I hope to get enough money to buy land and bring my family to America.

The job is very difficult, we go on expeditions for several months to the north, our main enemy is the Indian tribes that also trade with fur.

The journey is risky, and several people do not return. Animals kill some colonists, and hunting bears is particularly dangerous, but they are the highest-paid fur. Also, the weather is dangerous, it is colder as we enter to the north, and here the summer is short, so we must do it all quickly.

The payment is very good, we sell each fur obtained to the merchants who take them to Europe where they make great coats with them. In Europe, having a fur is a sign of wealth, so they are in high demand.

Despite how difficult it is to work, I will continue to make my fortune.

Explanation:

Fur trafficking was a lucrative business in Canada and the United States for over 200 years. The Dutch, French, and British traded with the furs obtained in America, taking them to Europe to make coats.

Colonists and American tribes worked as fur hunters for those years, this being a job that carried great risks for workers.

I hope this information can help you.
