Answer: It stops getting amino acids when rRNA reaches the termination codon.

Explanation: During initiation stage of translation, the tRNA starts getting amino acids when the rRNA encounters the start codon, AUG. Like translation is terminated when the stop or termination codon is reached. There are three stop codons: UGA, UAA and UAG. These codons do not code for any amino acids.

Explain your results using the concept of cohesion.
Nikolay [14]

Answer:

Cohesion is when the molecules that are attracted are the same type of molecules. In other words, cohesion is the force of attraction that holds these substances together.

Explanation:

The water drop is composed of water molecules that like to stick together, an example of the property of cohesion.

The water drop is stuck to the end of the pine needles, which is an example of the property of adhesion.

How would a change to the sequence of nucleotides in a DNA segment affect the mRNA transcribed from the DNA?
Mama L [17]

Answer:

It would change the nucleotide sequence of the transcribed mRNA

Explanation:

During the process of transcription, a DNA template is used to synthesize a mRNA molecule. The nucleotides in the DNA molecule undergo a complementary base pairing to form the nucleotides on the mRNA. This means that the order of sequence on the DNA determines the order of sequence on the mRNA.

In a case where the nucleotide sequence of a DNA segment changes in the process of MUTATION, the sequence of nucleotides in the mRNA strand will also change. For example, if sequence: ATT on the DNA produces UAA on the mRNA, a change to AAT on the DNA will cause the mRNA sequence to change to UUA.
