It would be C . You can figure it out by seeing how many times -4 goes into -28, which is 7 times. If you're not sure whether it is negative or positive then you could either use a calculator to check or remember this rule a negative times a negative is a positive which means your answer would have been 28 not -28.

A dog chases a squirrel. The dog is originally 200 feet away from the squirrel. The dog’s speed is 150 feet per minute. The squi
puteri [66]
Set up the equation as follows:

150x = 100x + 200

150x represents the dog's speed, 100x represents the squirrel's speed, and 200 represents the distance the squirrel has on the dog. x is the amount of minutes that elapse.

Subtract 100x from both sides.

50x = 200

Divide both sides by 50.

x = 4

It will take the dog 4 minutes to catch up with the squirrel.

Given: △ABC, m∠C=90° m∠ABC=30°, AL ∠ bisector CL=6 ft. Find: LB
vlada-n [284]

For a better understanding of the solution given here please go through the diagram in the file attached.

To solve this question we will make use of the "Triangle Angle Bisector Theorem", which states that, "An angle bisector of an angle of a triangle divides the opposite side in two segments that are proportional to the other two sides of the triangle."

Thus, in our question, we will have:

\frac{LB}{CL}= \frac{AB}{AC}

The above equation can be rearranged as:

LB=CL\times \frac{AB}{AC}=\frac{CL}{(\frac{AC}{AB})}...(Equation 1)

If we have a proper look at the denominator which is \frac{AC}{AB}, we note that in \Delta ABC, \frac{AC}{AB}=Sin(\angle ABC)=Sin(30^\circ)

Thus, (Equation 1) wil give us:

LB=\frac{CL}{Sin(30^\circ)} =\frac{6}{0.5}=12

<u>Therefore, LB= 12 feet</u>

In a large on-the-job training program, half of the participants are female and half are male. In a random sample of six partici
Radda [10]

Answer: 0.9844

Step-by-step explanation:

given data:

sample size n = 6

It’s assumed that half the population are male and the remaining half are females

F = 1/2

M = 1/2

the probability that the investigator would draw altleats one male

P ( x ≥ 1 ) =

= 1 - ( 0.5 ) ^ 6

= ( 0.5 )^6

= 0.9844

I don’t understand this can someone please give me and example on how to do it please?
olga55 [171]
For the first one,

you multiply 5x and -5 to get -25.

Then you move the constant to the right and change the sign to get 3x= -21 +25.

Calculate the sum of -21+25 to get 4.

Divide both sides of the equation by 3 to get x=4/3.

So then your final answer is x=4
——
3

For the second one,

Distribute 7 through the parentheses to get 14x + 14+8=120

The you add 14+8 to get 22. Your equation should be 14x+22=120

Move the constant to the right side and change its sign to get 14x=120-22

Subtract 120-22 to get 98. Now your equation should be 14x=98

Divide both sides of the equation by 14 to get x=7.

Your finial answer for the second one should be x=7.
