How does scarcity affect a country's economy?

Social Studies

Scarcity limits both how much of something can be made, how quickly it can be made, and, by extension, who can afford it. Scarcity can relate to the raw materials or resources necessary to produce something. Scarcity can relate to the availability of individuals possessing the right skills and experience to provide your goods or services. Scarcity can also relate to how much disposable capital your customers (or investors) have to supply you with. A shortage in any of these things can deform the market, driving up prices or wages, in the case of the first two, or driving prices down or reducing ability to expand in the case of the last example.

What are society’s use of slavery
Rufina [12.5K]

Answer:

The first known major slave society was that of Athens. In the early Archaic period the elite worked its estates with the labour of fellow citizens in bondage (often for debt). After the lawgiver Solon abolished citizen slavery about 594 BCE, wealthy Athenians came to rely on enslaved peoples from outside Attica. The prolonged wars with the Persians and other peoples provided many slaves, but the majority of slaves were acquired through regular trade with non-Greek peoples around the Aegean.Explanation:

melomori [17]

Answer:

It could become extrinsically motivating

Explanation:

Motivation is the method and processing that will allow someone to complete a behaviour. There are two types of motivation:

  1. Intrinsic: This type of motivation is stimulated by the feeling that it gives the individual and has nothing to do with what they could gain from it. The perform this behavior because it makes them feel good and the satisfaction itself is rewarding. Example: Getting a PhD because of the love of science and contributing to research and development.
  2. Extrinsic: This type of motivation depends on the reward being received or the punishment that they are trying to avoid. This motivation is fueled by what the individual can gain from an external source or what discomfort they will avoid. Example: Getting a PhD to get a higher salary or stop your parents from nagging about your education status.

In this case Jeremiah may become extrinsically motivated once he realizes that he is working for a grade. On the other hand he may remain intrinsically motivated and appreciate the opportunity of a formal education.
