The main motivation for a German prisoner of war (POW) to work was to stay alive. It was very simple, if the prisoner of war was working then he/she was going to live, if the prisoner of war was not working then he/she would have been killed. In order to survive, the German prisoners of war had to work, and they did so, as they wanted to live. What was driving them the most was the hope that the Germans would be defeated and that they will be released, so that they can return to their normal lives. Lot of prisoners did managed to stay alive for that they, and the Germans did got defeated, so they were released and started with their lives all over again.

How might having a large percentage of uninsured people negatively affect the entire country
madreJ [45]

The uninsured people affects the entire country or more specifically, the insured ones by:

1. Insured people will less likely have a low regular source of care and the benefits befitting those who are insured. several of them are provided with delayed care

2. Insured people will feel unsatisfied of the services they receive because they are not the ones who are focused, instead the uninsured ones.

The insured people are the ones who will suffer a lot compared to uninsured ones.

Identify two factors that encouraged the growth of the suburbs in the mid 1900s
steposvetlana [31]
1.  Homes in the suburbs were affordable to middle class families.  This had to do with lower land prices in suburbs vs. the city and also new building practices that brought down the cost of these suburban homes.

2.  The G.I. bill provided loans to military veterans, so this also helped them be able to afford "the American dream" of home ownership.

3.  The construction of highways facilitated travel into the cities for work from the suburbs.  (Note that the Federal Aid Highway Act was passed in 1956.)

4.  There was a perception that life in the suburbs would be safer and less susceptible to crime than life in the city.

That's several reasons you can work with.
