We have 7*48=336 cans.  Dividing by 8 cans per stack, we have 336/8=42 stacks.

Vector V is in standard position and makes an angle of 50° with the positive x-axis. Its magnitude is 15. Write V in component f
Scilla [17]

Answer:

a=9.641, b=11.49

Vector will be 9.641 i + 11.49 j

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given that vector V has the magnitude of 15

And it makes an angle of 50^{\circ} with positive x axis

Now let the x component of vector V is a and y component of vector V is b

So a=Vcos\Theta =15\times cos50^{\circ}=9.641

b=Vsin\Theta =15\times sin50^{\circ}=11.49

In vector form 9.641 i+11.49 j

To two decimal places, find the value of k that will make the function f(x) continuous everywhere. f of x equals the quantity 3x
Fiesta28 [93]

Given function is

f(x)=\left\{\begin{matrix}3x+k & x\leq -4 \\ kx^2-5 & x> -4\end{matrix}\right.

now we need to find the value of k such that function f(x) continuous everywhere.

We know that any function f(x) is continuous at point x=a if left hand limit and right hand limits at the point x=a are equal.

So we just need to find both left and right hand limits then set equal to each other to find the value of k

To find the left hand limit (LHD) we plug x=-4 into 3x+k

so LHD= 3(-4)+k

To find the Right hand limit (RHD) we plug x=-4 into

kx^2-5

so RHD= k(-4)^2-5

Now set both equal

k(-4)^2-5=3(-4)+k

16k-5=-12+k

16k-k=-12+5

15k=-7

k=-\frac{7}{15}

k=-0.47

<u>Hence final answer is -0.47.</u>

Please help!!! (Look at photo)
Alexxx [7]

Answer:

330=40x+50

Step-by-step explanation:

then you would -50 from both sides

280=40x

then you would divide both sides by 40 to isolate x

7=x

so that means it would take 7 weeks

A house appreciates (grows in value) about 6% each year. If the house is now worth 158,000, in about how many years will it be w
expeople1 [14]
200,000 = 158,000(1.06)^x
Divide both sides by 158,000
1.2658 = 1.06^x
Take the log of both sides and use the power rule to bring down the exponent (x) to the front.
log 1.2658 = x log 1.06
Divide both sides by log 1.06
log (1.2658)/log(1.06) = x
x = 4 years

CHECK
y = 158,000(1.06)^4
y = 199,471.36
