Answer:

Basement membrane.

Explanation:

The epithelial tissue is characterized by the presence of cells very close to each other, with little intercellular substance. It is an avascular tissue, which rests on a basement membrane. This membrane separates it from the underlying connective tissue, which allows the nutrition of the epithelium.

The basement membrane, formed by glycoproteins (collagen, fibronectin, laminin) and glycosaminoglycans, has the function of separating the epithelium from its connective tissue, supporting the epithelium, and allowing the diffusion of nutrients to it.  Membrane specializations allow an epithelium, secretor or lining to fulfill its functions more effectively. Basal specializations, such as the semidesmosome, allow anchoring of the epithelium to the basement membrane and to the underlying connective tissue.

Answer:

Basement membrane

Explanation:

Epithelial tissues is one of the four types of tissues. They are widespread throughout the body and form the covering of all body surfaces, line body cavities and hollow organs, and are the major tissue in glands .

They perform a lot of functions such as absorption, excretion, filtration, diffusion, and sensory reception.

They are anchored to the underlying connective tissue by basement membrane. A thin, fibrous, extracellular matrix of tissue.

The basement membrane acts as a mechanical barrier that prevents malignant cells from invading the deeper tissues.

In the absence of substance M, a hypothetical LM operon is turned off. If substance M is abundant, it can bind to the repressor,
Andrei [34K]

Answer:Inducible;inducer

Explanation:

Induction is the phenomenon of increased synthesis of protein or and enzyme in response to certain signal. Such enzymes are called inducible and the signals are called inducer. Induction is turning ''on''the switch of a gene.

When M is present in the medium, M binds the repressor protein. The repressor-M complex is inactive which does not bind to the operator region of LM. Now RNAP can transcribe the structural genes of LM.

M switches the gene ''on''. Hence M is an inducer of LM. LM is an inducible operon

5. One of the most important steps to achieve a more sustainable future is to reduce a. Water conservation b. Overconsumption c.
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

B.

*Read the explanation plz

Explanation:

A actually increases sutainability, and C is just wrong. It's technically saying that we should not let humans be born, we shouldn't let people get pregnant, which of course no one is gonna listen to. So B is right because if we consume too many things, the next generation won't have as many resources as they need to survive.
