Trade routes helped make it easier for goods and services to be transported from one part of Asia to another. this helped many businessmen trade, and boosted the economy. 

common currency helped because now, instead of trading goods for other goods, there was a dollar that could be easily stored or taken with traders.

my History class went over this last year so I am a little rusty. I hope this helps though!
