A concrete population is a population that consist of definite or concrete observations and those that really exist. Examples are: all the students of a class, the alphabet, all the workers in the factory. While hypothetical population on the other hand, are population that consist of imaginary or hypothetical observations. It is not well defined and the samples had not been selected from existing population. Examples for this are: all possible toxicity measures of a new drug, GPAs of all young adults (including those not in school) and the number of years’ people would have lived if they had quit smoking.
