is 0.75. the probability that an individual who fails on the first ry will pass on the second try is 0.84, and the probability that an individual who fails the first and second test will pass the third time os 0.66 Find the probabilities that an individual will do the following.

Answer:

a. 0.04

b. 0.0136

c. 0.2364

Step-by-step explanation:

a. P(fails both the first and second test)

=P(fails the first test) × P(fails second test)

= (1-P(pass on the first try)) × (1-P(fails on the first try will pass on the second try))

=(1-0.75) × (1-0.84) =0.04

b. P(Fail three times in a row)

= P(fails both the first and second test) × P(fails third test)

=0.04 × (1-P(fails the first and second test will pass the third time))

=0.04 × (1-0.66) = 0.0136

c. P(Require at least two tries)

=P(fails on the first try will pass on the second try) + P(fails the first and second test will pass the third time)

= ( P(fails the first test) × P(passes second test) )+( P(fails both the first and second test)  × P(passes third test) )

= (0.25 × 0.84) + (0.04 × 0.66)

= 0.2364

Write he slope intercept form of the equation of the line described
Alik [6]

Hello!

The equation for slope intercept form is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y intercept.

We can first find the slope. Perpendicular lines have slopes which are negative reciprocals of each other. This means that the slope of the line you're looking for would be the negative reciprocal of -2/9. The negative reciprocal of -2/9 is 9/2. Therefore, m = 9/2.

Substitute this into the equation. y = 9/2x + b. Now substitute in the point given and solve for b.

y = -4, x = -2

-4 = 9/2 (-2) + b

-4 = -9 + b

b = 5

Therefore, the final equation is y = 9/2x + 5.

Hope this helps!

Martin and Linda live 855 miles apart. At the same time, they start driving toward each other on the same road. Linda’s constant
Alinara [238K]

If one is at a speed of 35 mph and the other 60, sum the speeds to work with just one number:

35 + 60 = 95mph

The formula for time is:

Time = Distance / Speed
Time = 855 / 95
Time = 9h (D.)
