The imaginary audience can be defined as away in which a person always imagine and believe that people are either looking or listening to him/her.
This type of people are often conscious of their self especially when they are around
people or group of friends.
Although this often happen when such person is in his/her young adolescence stage.
Therefore Mary's behavior exhibits IMAGINARY AUDIENCE because she always imagine that poeple are watching her or looking at her due to the small pimples on cheeks.
I am not so sure what the answer is but I thnk that it is because The Army wasn't moving fast enough and they needed to fasten things up. So they decided to make it faster to fight by adding roads and bridges so it would be easier on them.
