<u>Answer</u>

1st number = x

2nd number = 4x

3rd number = x + 100

sum of three numbers = 592

x + 4x + x + 100 = 592

6x + 100 = 592

6x = 592 - 100

6x = 492

x = 492/6

x = 82

1st number, x = 82

1st number, x = 822nd number, 4x = 328

1st number, x = 822nd number, 4x = 3283rd number, x+100 = 182

check :

82 + 328 + 182 = 592

pls mark as brainliest. . . ☺

If a &lt; 0 and c &gt; b, circle the expression that is greater:
matrenka [14]

Answer:

The expression that is greater is a (b - c)

Step-by-step explanation:

  • a < 0 and c > b, this means <u>(by the addition property)</u> that c - c > b - c⇒0 > b - c

so for the product <u>a(b - c) </u>we would have a multiplication of a negative number <em>a</em> and another negative number <em>(b - c)</em>. We know that the result of the <u>multiplication of two negative numbers  is a positive number.</u>

Therefore, a (b - c) > 0

  • a < 0 and c > b, this means <u>by the addition property</u> that c - b > b - b⇒ c - b > 0

so for <u>a(c - b)</u>, we have the negative number <em>a</em> multiplied by the positive number <em>(c - b). </em>We know that the result of the <u>multiplication of a negative number by a positive number is negative. </u>

<u>Therefore  a (c - b) < 0</u>

Thus, the expression that is greater is the positive one which is a (b - c)

Verify the identity. 4 csc 2x = 2 csc2x tan x
vlada-n [284]

Step-by-step explanation:

4csc(2x) = 2csc^2(x) tan(x)

We start with Left hand side

We know that csc(x) = 1/ sin(x)

So csc(2x) is replaced by 1/sin(2x)

4 \frac{1}{sin(2x)}

Also we use identity

sin(2x) = 2 sin(x) cos(x)

4 \frac{1}{2sin(x)cos(x)}

4 divide by 2 is 2

Now we multiply top and bottom by sin(x) because we need tan(x) in our answer

2\frac{1*sin(x)}{sin(x)cos(x)*sin(x)}

2\frac{sin(x)}{sin^2(x)cos(x)}

2\frac{1}{sin^2(x)} \frac{sin(x)}{cos(x)}

We know that sinx/ cosx = tan(x)

Also  1/ sin(x)= csc(x)

so it becomes 2csc^2(x) tan(x) , Right hand side

Hence verified
