Choose the sentence in which the verb is a linking verb

English
1 answer:
stira [4]3 years ago

The sentence in which the verb is a linking verb is letter D: His hours are long and busy.

Verbs are simply known as the ‘action’ words – may it be mental, physical or mechanical. When verbs are paired with auxiliaries (helping verbs), they are known as verb phrase.

These helping verbs always go first before the actual verb. Perfect tenses serves a portraying the verb or the action word as something that already happened or is completed, thus the term ‘perfect’. If it is present perfect tense, it means that the action was already done relatively to the present (has/have with past participle). If it is past perfect tense, action is already finished relatively to the past (had with past participle and if it is future perfect tense, action is complete relatively to the future (will have with past participle).

Consider again G. K. Chesterton's idea that mystery stories remind us that absolute, unchangeable truth exists. All good literat
mariarad [96]

This question requires a personal opinion as an answer. An example of a personal opinion concerning the topic of how stories remind us of the absolute, unchangeable truth, is:

 • Work: "A Christmas Carol"
 • Theme: Compassion and generosity
 • Your opinion: Using the lens of Scripture as a standard for truth, we can say that the story does reflect the truths of God. The main character learns a valuable lesson concerning the sin of greed. He is taught that, to be truly happy in life, one must share one's time, company, and possessions.

Writing a personal opinion

Begin by asking yourself what your opinion is or how you feel about the topic. If necessary, do some researching or talk to people about it.

Take notes on what you think and try to come up with a way to explain it. If you were talking to a friend about this topic, how would you explain it in a way they can understand what you think?

Begin drafting your answer. Write your opinion clearly and than provide the explanation.

Correct any spelling or punctuation mistakes in your work.

Answer: Hello there! Here is what I found from Learn Genetics Utah they say "Your genes hold the basic instructions for your body to grow and function, but they are far from the only thing controlling your traits. Most traits are shaped both by a person's genes and by environmental factors. Environmental factors include everything outside of DNA that affects your traits"
