25 + 15w

Philip : deposits 40 + 10 each week(w)

40 + 10w

when will they be equal.....set them equal and solve for w, the number of weeks

25 + 15w = 40 + 10w

15w - 10w = 40 - 25

5w = 15

w = 15/5

w = 3 <==== they will be equal at 3 weeks
