Analyse how powerful states influence global interactions in ways which benefit themselves ?

Geography

All the human causes of global environmental change happen through a subset of proximate causes, which directly alter aspects of the environment in ways that have global effects. We begin this chapter by outlining and illustrating an approach to accounting for the major proximate causes of global change, and then proceed to the more difficult issue of explaining them. Three case studies illustrate the various ways human actions can contribute to global change and provide concrete background for the more theoretical discussion that follows. We have identified specific research needs throughout that discussion. We conclude by stating some principles that follow from current knowledge and some implications for research.

What is the function of the red blood cell
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

The functions of RBC ( Red Blood Cells) are as follows:

 • It transports oxygen and carbon dioxide between the lungs and all part of the body.
 • The surface of red blood cells absorbs the amino acid and transports them to the cells from alimentary canal.

Additional Information:

About RBC

RBC stands for Red Blood Cells. They are also called erythrocytes. They are circular, biconcave, disc-shaped and non -nucleated cells. They are formed in red bone marrows and destroyed in the spleen. Their lifespan is very short that is 4 months.

RBC contains an iron pigment called haemoglobin that carries oxygen from place to place in the form of oxyhemoglobin. When haemoglobin is exposed to oxygen, it turns red. So the blood is red in colour. If RBC is less in blood then, a person is suffering from anaemia , as there is not enough haemoglobin to transport oxygen.

What have scientists used to build a chronology of earths past
eduard
Hi,

Scientists have used rock samples to date the Earth's past. They also might use Steno's principles.

Relative dating is the determination of the age of a rock or geological event by comparing with other rock/ geologic events. Absolute dating is a form of geologic dating that gives an actual date or age in history that the item was formed or died in years.

Steno's principles are:

Law of superposition - Bottom layer is the oldest, top layer of the youngest In undisturbed layers of sedimentary rock or magma.

Original horizontally - When sedimentary rock layers form, they are "created in a horizontal form.

The Principle of Lateral Continuity - States that layers of sediment initially extend laterally in all directions.
