!!100 POINTS AND BRAINLIEST ANSWER!! Part A: Sam rented a boat at $225 for 2 days. If he rents the same boat for 5 days, he has

to pay a total rent of $480.
Write an equation in the standard form to represent the total rent (y) that Sam has to pay for renting the boat for x days. (4 points)

Part B: Write the equation obtained in Part A using function notation.(2 points)

Part C: Describe the steps to graph the equation obtained above on the coordinate axes. Mention the labels on the axes and the intervals. (4 points)

We have two coordinates here: (2, 225) & (5, 480)

Now, Calculate for the Slope:
m = y2-y1 / x2-x1
m = 480-225 / 5-2
m = 255/3
m = 85

y - y1 = m(x - x1)
y - 225 = 85(x - 2)
y - 225 = 85x - 170
y = 85x + 55
8x - y = -55 [ Final Equation in the standard form ]

B.) F(x) = 85x + 55

C.) For x=1, F(x) = 85(1) + 55 = 140
For x = 2, F(x) = 85(2) + 55 = 225
For x = 3, F(x) = 85(3) + 55 = 310

In short, Your Coordinates for the Graph would be: (1, 140) (2, 225), (3, 310)...

Hope this helps!

Suppose that 35 people are divided in a random manner into two teams in such a way that one team contains 10 people and the othe
Effectus [21]

Answer:

0.5798 or 57.98%

Step-by-step explanation:

The total number of ways to form the two teams is the combination of choosing 10 people out of 35 (₃₅C₁₀). The number of possibilities that A and B are both on the 10-people team is given by the combination of choosing 8 people (since two are fixed) out of 33 (₃₃C₈).The number of possibilities that A and B are both on the 25-people team is given by the combination of choosing 10 people out of 33 (₃₃C₈).

Therefore, the probability that two particular people A and B will be on the same team is:

P = \frac{_{33}C_8+_{33}C_{10}}{_{35}C_{10}} \\\\P=\frac{\frac{33!}{(33-8)!8!}+\frac{33!}{(33-10)!10!} }{\frac{35!}{(35-10)!10!}} \\\\P=\frac{69}{119} = 0.5798

The probability is 0.5798 or 57.98%.
