Answer:

Reduce the price of its product.

Explanation:

Reduction of price is not a sustainable way of managing customer satisfaction. Even if the customer is initially happy the business cannot consistently offer low prices as incentive because this will affect quality of the product. Once product quality goes down it will result in customer dissatisfaction.

Focus should instead be placed in giving the customer value. When customer's reciev value from your business consistently they will keep coming back.

Compute the amount of gross profit from the sales in July. (Hint: Add any underapplied overhead to, or deduct any overapplied ov
sasho [114]

Answer:

Gross profit = $790000

Explanation:

Suppose:

Sales = 1000000

Cost of goods sold = 200000

Actual overhead = 100000

Direct labor used = 15000 hours

Predetermined rate = $ 6 per hour

Computation of gross profit:

         Sales =                                                                             1000000

less:<u> Cost of goods sold</u>                    =200000

Add: under applied overhead (w#1) = <u>10000</u>

                                                                                                 (<u>210000</u>)

                Gross profit                                                              790000

(w#1) Applied overhead = Actual labour hours * predetermined rate

                                         = 15000 * 6 = $90000.

   Actual overhead                              =  <u>100000</u>

Under applied overhead                          10000

Tyare Corporation had the following inventory balances at the beginning and end of May:
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

The correct answer is option (b) $5400

Explanation:

Solution

Calculation of the cost of direct material on May 1

Now,

The starting work In process inventory = Direct materials Cost  + Direct labor  Cost + Manufacturing overhead applied on W.I.P

13,500 = Direct materials cost  + 4500 + 3600

Thus,

Direct material cost = 13500 - 4500-3600 = $5400

Note:  Direct labor cost = 300 * 15 = $ 4500

The manufacturing overhead = 300 hour *  $12 = $ 3600

So, only expenses associated to work in process will be considered, hence only direct labor and manufacturing overhead are used to work in process are considered.
