Hey there !!

a) given that :- annual growth rate of population = 8.5% in a year

in an year no. of months = 12
now ,
the annual growth rate of population in a month = 8.5/12 = 0.70...% .

b) semiannual year = 6 months .

therfore ,

annual rate of semianual = 8.5/2 ( we divide by 2 because 6×2 = 12 which is a year )

semi annual rate = 8.5/2 = 4.25% .

c) an year contain = 365 days .

now , population growing rate per day = 8.5%/365 = 0.023% .

d) annual rate = 8.5%

therfore in 5 year growing rate will be = 8.5×5 = 42.5%

hope it definitely helps you !!

Hi SimplyFaith3,

Answer - B.) Find the semiannual growth rate.

Typically you would calculate the annual growth rate per year. But since they dont have that in the choices the one that is nearest to a year is semiannual so thats why I choose B!

F(c)= 9/5c+ 32 I just don't understand how to find the inverse of the function
Viefleur [7K]
F = 9/5 C + 32
- 32 -32

subtracting - 32 from both sides

F - 32 = 9/5c
5/9 F -32 = 5/9(9/5)C

Invert 9/5 to 5/9 multiply to both sides

5/9F - 32 = C

The answer is 5/9F-32 = C

When karen serves jury duty, she will receive $15 each day for the first three days she serve. After three days, she will receiv
liubo4ka [24]

Karen received $ 213 for 10 days of serving

Solution:

Given that When karen serves jury duty, she will receive $15 each day for the first three days she serve

To find: money received by karen if she served for 10 days

First three days = $ 15 each day

Therefore,

first day = $ 15

second day = $ 15

third day = $ 15

After three days, she will receive $24 each day she serves

4th , 5th, 6th, 7th , 8th , 9th, 10th day = $ 24 each day

If she serves for 10 days,

money received = 15 + 15 + 15 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24

money received = 3(15) + 7(24)

money received = 45 + 168 = 213

Thus karen received $ 213 for 10 days of serving
