The stable Buck is a black man, hunched over wit ha crooked back. He is smart (he reads) and strong and yet he is abused by the boss anytime he is mad because he is black.

Crook's the stable buck is African American with a crooked back from when he was kicked in the back by a horse. He is older and smells like animals, which is one of the reason's that he has his own room. The others say he stinks like animals. The boss uses him to care for the animals.
