Answer:

Average Inventory =600 units

Ordering Cost = $780

Carrying cost = $780

Total Ordering cost and carrying cost = $1,560

Explanation:

Demand = 78,000 per year

Ordering cost = S = $12 per order

Carrying costs = H = $1.30 per unit

Economic Order Quantity = \sqrt{\frac{2DS}{H}

Economic Order Quantity = \sqrt{\frac{2 X 78,000 X 12}{1.30}

Economic Order Quantity = 1200

Using EOQ

Average Inventory = EOQ x 50% = 1,200 x 50% = 600 units

Number of Orders = 78,000 / 1,200 = 65 orders

Ordering Cost = 65 x 12 = $780

Carrying cost = 1200 x 1.30/2 = $780

Total Ordering cost and carrying cost = 780 + 780 = $1,560

Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

Annual savings = 61,746.

Explanation:

The Net Present Value (NPV) is the difference between the present value (PV) of cash outflows  and PV of cash inflow

At the internal rate of return the PC of annual cash savings will be equal to the investment cost

Initial cost = 211980

PV = annual cash savings = A× (1- (1+r)^(-n)/ r

A=?  r-internal rate of return, 14%, n-number of years- 5

211980 = A  (1- (1.14)^(-5)/ 0.14

211,980 = A× 3.433080969

A= 211,980/3.43308

A= 61746.28619

Annual savings = 61,746.

Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

A firm commitment arrangement with an investment banker occurs when an investment banker buys the securities for less than the offering price and accepts the risk of not being able to sell them.

The correct option is B.

Explanation:

A firm commitment arrangement happens when an investment banker buys the securities for less than the offering price and accepts the risk of not being able to sell them.

However, the issuer receives a little less money than the offering price but he gets a specific amount for all the security being issued. The risk rests completely on the investment banker.

Therefore, the correct option is B.

serious [3.7K]

Answer:

Commuting refers to travelling from your home to your workplace. It generally refers to the distance that people generally travel to get to their office or any type of workplace.

While business travel refers to not only leaving your house to go to work, but actually going somewhere else to perform your regular business activities, e.g. going form one state to another to close a sale. In order for business travel to be effectively recognized as such, it must be necessary for your business activity and it should last more than one ordinary workday.

In this case, your client continuously leaves his house and goes form one state to another performing his normal business activities. This perfectly fits the IRS's definition of business travel.

Initially, you can try to solve this issue with IRS Office of Appeals (since you are right), but if that doesn't work, then you can go to Tax Court.
