Yes, sleep deprivation prevents you immune system from building up its defenses, meaning your body will not be able to defend its self against invaders.

Yes, sleep plays a big part in the brain. When sleep deprived you can’t really think in the morning which causes you to fail and not be able to pay attention or do good on tests. This is why schools plan on changing the schedule for school to start at a later time, because kids need more sleep. Scientific study’s showed that more kids did well when they got more sleep then the kids who were sleep deprived.
