The sheep and cattle industries are responsible for a large amount of greenhouse gases emissions, which contribute to and accelerate climate change.

The case of the cattle industry is even more serious because cows also emit methane, which is the greenhouse gas that warms the Earth the most.

Besides, both industries cause deforestation. For example, in Brazil vast areas of the Amazon rainforest have been cut off to open room for cattle.
