Answer:

President Nixon began a policy of measured troop withdrawals from Vietnam. This policy was called Vietnamization.

Explanation:

Nixon's strategy to end the Vietnam War was called Vietnamization. It consisted in the gradual withdrawal, in a phased manner, of the American troops from Vietnam, to be replaced by South Vietnamese units, previously trained and equipped by the Americans. The Vietnamization of the conflict began towards the end of 1969, under the government of Richard Nixon and was accompanied by bombings and covert attacks in North Vietnam in an attempt to cut the supply lines of the Vietcong. The reason for the implementation of this new military policy was the significant increase in protest marches in the streets of American cities against the war and the pressure of public opinion in that year after the Tet Offensive.

He also made three separate appeals to change his draft status because of his membership in the Nation of Islam and his non-violent Muslim faith. </span>

How did people first react to the stock market crash?
nexus9112 [7]

Answer:

Many people were on margin (that's when you put your stock up for security and the bank makes you a loan to buy more stock. Effectively the bank owns the stock). "Everybody's doing it. You can make scads of money doing it." When the market crashed, in many cases it took everything you had. Those who knew what was going on panicked.
