Answer:

Oak trees performs cellular respiration and photosynthesis so both boxes should be checked

Explanation:

"Plants" (seaweeds are not strictly plants) all can perform photosynthesis, in which they use chlorophyll to convert solar elergy into chemical energy (glucose). But they can also carry out respiration which is the opposite process. In respiration glucose is broken down and its stored energy is released and used as fuel for the organism's processes.

Conversely, animals such as the housefly, the rabbit and the crab in the lower part of the image, can only perform respiration.

The answer would be both. Photosynthesis requires energy and produces food, cellular respiration breaks down food and releases energy. Plants use both humans use just cellular respiration.

Compare the arrangement of muscles in earthworms to amphioxus
mafiozo [28]

Earthworms have two muscles which is used in locomotion. Both muscles are circular and longitudinal (inner layer of the series of muscles). The diameter of the earthworms body is reduced when the circular muscles are contracted which makes them appear to be thin. The worm appears short when the longitudinal muscles contract thus, its length is reduced.

Amphioxus on the other hand, have two unique muscle fiber types. This includes deep fibers and smaller but mitochondria-rich superficial fibers. Each of which has its own innervation.

SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

Homo species have differences in brachial index, face and teeth size as compared with australopithecines.

Explanation:

Australopithecines were found in pleistoocene era and adapted to the bipedal locomotion but shows differences in walking style as compared to early homo species. They have large brachial index. The postcanines were large but incisors and canines were small.

Early homo species were found around 2 million years ago. They shows bipedal locomotion with different walking styles. The brachial index of early homo species was small as compared with the australopithecines. The post canines were small but incisors and canines were large.
