What is Lee’s intent by having Scout say: "…As for me, I knew nothing except what I gathered from Time magazine and reading ever

ything I could lay hands on at home, but as I inched sluggishly along the treadmill of the Maycomb County school system, I could not help receiving the impression that I was being cheated out of something. Out of what I knew not, yet I did not believe that twelve years of unrelieved boredom was exactly what the state had in mind for me."

Answer:

What Lee means is that Scout feels that school bores him.

As he says, he “gathered from Time magazine and reading everything I could lay hands on at home” which indicates that he was more advanced than his classmates, since he had learned to read and write from an early age.

Scout had high expectations before entering school, but once there, he realized that he would only spend the rest of the years in boredom.

Does first aid need to be capitalized in a sentence.
Alona [7]
I wouldn't think so. It isn't a noun or anything of the sort.
Example:
The people came to us with first aid kits after the storm.

How can knowing how a plot is put together help with understanding the meaning behind a story?
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

The development of plot helps the readers to unlock the meaning of the story as the plot begins to proceed from the introduction to the conclusion.

Explanation:

The plot, in literary terms, can be defined as a series or chain of events that helps to form a story. There are five elements of plot exposition or introduction, rising event, climax, falling action, resolution (a.k.a denoument or conclusion).

As the readers understand this development or putting together of a plot, will help them to unlock the meaning or message of the author. As the plot begins to unfold one-by-one, the author begins to develop the theme or the message he or she wants to convey and when the readers reach the conclusive part of the plot, the message in its totality is revealed leaving lasting impressions on the readers mind.

In titles which words are typically not capitalized small words articles first words single word titles
slava [35]
The correct answer is articles. In a title articles will rarely be capitalised. Articles are the words which come before nouns, such as 'an' and 'the' which are not the most important words within the title and do therefore not warrant the capitalisation.
