The Industrial Revolution greatly affected the society in many ways. First of all, child labor was very popular during the industrial revolution. Putting kids to work in such squalid living and working conditions (e.g. dirty/dangerous factories) affected their health. Most child workers were treated harshly and not adequately fed. The social structure was also affected. The industrial revolution showed the different classes in totally different conditions and situations. Urbanization also took place during the Industrial Revolution. Cities rapidly grew due to the demand for workers and space.
