A person who is constantly speaking during a group discussion is not very useful. This is a person who does not let others speak their minds. Moreover, this person might not listen to the opinions of others and therefore might not be able to compromise. However, a person who only listens can also be problematic during a group discussion. It is likely that this type of person does not help develop ideas, and does not express doubts that could be useful for everyone. Therefore, the best thing to do during a discussion is trying to maintain a balance between speaking and listening.
