The effects of sugar are:

1. It overloads and damages your liver.

2. It can gain weight and affects your insulin and leptin signaling. Sugar fails to stimulate insulin which then fails to suppress ghrelin and then fails to stimulate leptin (the satiety hormone) causing you to eat more.

3. it causes metabolic dysfunction.
