The environmental racism thesis falls within the structural-functional theoretical theory, as it is an approach that sees society as a complex system, like organisms. This approach has a broad scope on the social structures and social functions of elements of society, like institutions, traditions, norms and customs. Since racism is a complex phenomenon, its in the scope of the structural-functional theory.

Answer:Risky Shift Phenomenon

Explanation:

There are decisions that seem easier to take when we are not taking them alone, we may even take a risk in groups that we wouldn't take if we were doing it individually. This occurs because we know that the risk is shared amongst everyone in a group , which decreases individual risk. This is what is called a risky shift.

This means even the most cautious person may loosen up a bit and be willing to take a risk if they are in company of others. Sometimes the Risky Shift may also occur because you don't want to let your friend down or dissapoint them when they suggest something risky.

Sometimes high risk takers may be very influential such that you may find yourself willing to take a risk with them.

Why did the gap between rich ans poor in Latin America grow after independence.
Bad White [126]
In a way, it's always easier to increase this gap than to diminish it, so if no measures are taken, this will be the result. In the case of Latin America two factors specifically came into play, but not the only: the rich became even richer, as they purchased and owned more and more land, and the poor needed credits to survive, so they ended up with huge debts.
