I got 6.08

To find the area, note the equation:

a = s²

The total area is 37. a = 37. Plug in 37 for a

37 = s²

Isolate the s. Root both sides

√37 = √s²

s = √37

√37 = ~6.08

s = 6.08 in.

hope this helps

$28 lunch; 15% tip what's the answer
Vlad [161]
To do this you want to first multiply 28 by 0.15.  This will give you $4.20.  You have to give a $4.20 tip.  The total cost would be the lunch and the tip added together.  It would give you a final total of $32.20.
