P(x) = x^2 + 4x
y = x^2 + 4x
use the formula (b/2)^2 to find the new c value
(4/2)^2 = 4
add 4 to both sides
y + 4= x^2 + 4x + 4
y + 4= (x+2)^2

y= (x+2)^2 - 4

Arisa [49]

Answer:

34

8

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2bc - 6ac + 2ab

(1/2)(-1)(-3) - (6)(2)(-3) + (2)(2)(-1)

(1/2)(4) - (-36) + (-4)

2 + 36 - 4

1/4(ac)² + 1/6ac

(1/4)[(2)(-3)]² + (1/6)(2)(-3)

(1/4)(-6)² + (1/6)(-6)

(1/4)(36) + (-1)
