Area = π x r^2

Area = π x 12^2

Area = 144π or 452.16 square units. ( using 3.14 for PI)

Circumference = 2*PI *radius

Circumference = 12π or 37.68 units ( using 3.14 for PI)

How do I solve for c and d
tankabanditka [31]
For c using proportionality of corresponding sides you can writing

(3c+4)       9
--------- = -------
    20         15

(3c+4)       3
---------- = ------    cross multiple
    20          5

5(3c+4) = 20*3   divide both sides by 5

3c+4=4*3

3c+4=12

3c = 8

c = 8/3

for d you can writing

(2d-3)       9
--------- = ------
   12          15

(2d-3)       3
--------- = -------   cross multiple
   12          5

5(2d-3) = 12*3

10d -15 = 36

10d = 51

d = 51/10

d = 5,1

hope helped

Examine these points on line u and line v.
kvasek [131]

Answer:

There is no points of intersection

Step-by-step explanation:

∵ The slope of line u = 4 - (-8)/5 - 9 = 12/-4 = -3

∴ Its equation is ⇒ y = -3x + c ⇒ use point (5 , 4) to get c

                                4 = -3(5) + c ⇒ c = 4 + 15 = 19

∴ The equation of u is ⇒y = -3x + 19

∵ The slope of line v = -7 - 2/7 - 4 = -9/3 = -3

∴ Its equation is ⇒ y = -3x + c ⇒ use point (4 , 2) to get c

                               2 = -3(4) + c ⇒ c = 2 + 12 = 14

∴ The equation of v is ⇒y = -3x + 14

∵ The slopes of them are equal and their y-intercepted are not equal

∴ Line u is parallel to line v

∴ There is no point of intersection

Which two solid figures have the same volume? A. An oblique solid with a base of 4 cm2 and a height of 8 cm B. A cone with a bas
kkurt [141]

In general, Volume is equal to the area of the base multiplied by the height.

Let's check the volume of each.

A.

V=area of base x height, all given, so,

V=4*8=32

B.

Volume of cone is given by,

V= one-third area of base x height, all given, so,

V=\frac{1}{3}*4*8= \frac{32}{3}

C.

Here, the slant height is given, not the altitude (height). The volume is not 32 nor \frac{32}{3}.

D.

Rectangular solid's volume is area of base times height, all given, so,

V=4*8=32

Hence, A and D have same volume.

ANSWER: Option A and Option D have the same volume (32)

Keenan currently does a total of 888 pushups each day. He plans to increase the number of pushups he does each day by 222 pushup
FromTheMoon [43]

888+222x=303030       *and to solve*

-888            =888               subtract 888 to isolate x

222x=302142

222/222x= 302142              divide by 222

x=1361.

It will take Keenan 1,361 days to get to his goals of 303,030 push ups.

hope it helps!
