The answer is Cellulose. It does not provide calories/energy. The human digestive tract cannot break it down, so it is indigestible in humans.

Place the steps of the respiration process in the correct order.
noname [10]

During respiration, 3) Air enters the nostrils. 1) Air passes from the trachea to the bronchi. 4) Air diffuses from the alveoli to the blood cells. 2) Oxygen enters the blood cells. 5) Blood transports oxygen to other cells.

What is respiration?

During respiration process occurs gas interchange between the body and the environment.

There are two types of respiration,

1) External respiration involves two different stages, inspiration - inhalation- and expiration -exhalation-.

• During inspiration, the diaphragm and intercostal muscles contractions enhance the size of the thoracic box and reduce internal pressure. As a result, air flows in and fills the lungs.

• During expiration, the diaphragm relaxes, and the volume of the thoracic box diminishes, increasing the internal pressure and making the lungs contract, which results in air expulsion.

2) Internal respiration, during which blood and cells interchange oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Steps:

1) External respiration - Inhalation

Air passes from the environment to the lungs through the nose or mouth.

Oxygenated air moves

• From the nose or mouth to the pharynx.

• From the pharynx to the larynx.

• From the larynx to the trachea.

• From the trachea to the bronchia.

• From bronchia to bronchiole.

• Finally, from the bronchiole to alveoli.

Gas interchange with blood occurs in alveoli.

2) Internal respiration - Systemic circulation

The oxygenated blood moves from the lungs to the heart and the rest of the body.

Gases interchange occurs during this step. Cells take oxygen and release carbon dioxide.

Deoxygenated blood moves from tissues to the heart and from the heart to the lungs, releasing carbon dioxide there.

3) External respiration - Exhalation

Carbon dioxide is released by expiration.

Correct order of steps

3) Air enters the nostrils.

1) Air passes from the trachea to the bronchi.

4) Air diffuses from the alveoli to the blood cells.

2) Oxygen enters the blood cells.

5) Blood transports oxygen to other cells.

You are conducting a photosynthesis experiment to determine how much oxygen is produced over a 24-hour period of time. You are m
Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

Measure only daytime.

Explanation:

It is useless to measure the oxygen production every hour for 24 hours because oxygen is produced during day time due to the presence of photosynthesis process. Oxygen is produced in large amount during photosynthesis, some oxygen is used in respiration while the remaining diffuse out from plant body through stomata. After vanishing sunlight, the photosynthesis process stop and no production of oxygen occur. So only measure oxygen production at daytime as compared to every hour for 24 hours.

How does a suspension form
kicyunya [14]
A supension is formed when two or more materials are insoulable so they rest on top of each other. For instance, sand and oil are insoulable (unable to be mixed together) so based on density, one rises above the other, making a suspension.

Hi Class, So, why does differentiation occur in an organization? Distinguish between vertical and horizontal differentiation.
harina [27]

Answer:

Differentiation occurs because as organizations grow and become more complex, they establish a division of work. Vertical differentiation is a ranking of power with reporting relationships established to connect organizational roles and sub-units. Where horizontal differentiation are group roles according to task responsibilities, establishes division of power, and forms sub-units.
