Answer:

ok for number 1 its : ∠2 = 49

for number 2 : x = 19

Step-by-step explanation:

The way to start this question is by finding key elements.

It says a linear pair. Well, linear pairs are 2 angles thats degrees equal 180.

So i drew out a linear pair and put in the two equations from the angles

It doesn’t matter which side you put it on because it will equal 180.

So what we want to do first is find x.

This is so we can find what angle 2 equals.

Step 1. Soooo the first thing we do is make all the equations equal 180 because a linear pair is 2 angles (which are the ones that were given) equal 180. So we are making it equal to 180.

Step 2. So what we have is 5x + 6 + 2x - 1 = 180

Step 3. So then we combine like terms. This means to add, subtract, multiply, or divide any number that has the same exponent variables or just a number together. (there are more rules about this but its not needed right now.)

Step 4. So what we have now is 7x + 5 = 180 this is because we added 6 and -1 which is 5. Then we added 5x and 2x which is 7x

Step 5. We still want x by itself so we subtract 5 from itself and 180 to get rid of it. That gives us 7x = 175

Step 6. To get rid of the 7 so we have x by itself we divide 7 with itself and with 180 to get rid of it. Luckily for us, it evenly divides. So now we have x = 25

Step 7. But wait we are not done yet the question asks us what does angle 2 equals. Well all we have to do is plug in x in the angle 2 equation

Step 8. So we have 2x - 1 and we convert it 2 25 - 1

This is because we replaced x with what x equals.

Step 9. So 2 25 is 50 then we subtract 1 to it and now we are left with 2 = 49

If you need an explanation for question two you can ask for it.

If you confused with anything here I labeled each step so you can ask where you're confused.

Find the midpoint of the segment from point a (6,3) to point B (8,1)
velikii [3]

Answer: M=(7,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

You need to use the following formula:

M=(\frac{x_A+x_B}{2},\frac{y_A+y_B}{2})

Given the points A(6,3) and B(8,1), you can identify that:

x_A=6\\x_B=8\\y_A=3\\y_B=1

Now, you can substitute these values into the formula M=(\frac{x_A+x_B}{2},\frac{y_A+y_B}{2}).

Therefore, you get this result:

M=(\frac{6+8}{2},\frac{3+1}{2})

M=(7,2)

Which of the following is the best estimate of the direction of the given vector?
notka56 [123]

Answer:

The direction of the given vector is 45° N of W

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets revise the four directions with the four quadrants

- The four directions are:

# North which represented by the positive part of y-axis

# South which represented by the negative part of y-axis

# East which represented by the positive part of x-axis

# West which represented by the negative part of y-axis

∴ The first quadrant is between the East and the North

∴ The second quadrant is between the West and the North

∴ The third quadrant is between the West and the South

∴ The fourth quadrant is between the East and the South

* The direction of any vector is tan Ф, where Ф is the angle between

the vector and the x-axis, then:

- The direction of North of East is 45° ⇒ first quadrant

- The direction of North of West is 45° ⇒ second quadrant

- The direction of South of West is 45° ⇒ third quadrant

- The direction of South of East is 45° ⇒ fourth quadrant

* Now lets solve the problem

∵ The direction of the vector is between the North and the West

 (its vertex in the second quadrant)

∴ Its direction is 45° North of West

* The direction of the given vector is 45° N of W

Find the cost of this trip: Find the airfare for flying round trip from Denver to Detroit if a one-way ticket is $235.00, there
Rzqust [24]

5% of 235 is: 235*(5/100)= 235/20 = 11,75 or 5% of 470 is: 470/20 = 23,5

Total cost = 2*(235 + 11,75) = 2*246,75 = 493,5 or Total cost = 470 + 23,5 = 493,5

Solve for e.

4/3=-6e-5/3
cricket20 [7]

Answer:

e = 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

to solve foe e in this 4/3=-6e-5/3

solution

4/3=-6e-5/3

4/3 + 5/3 = 6e

find the lcm of the left hand side

4 + 5/3 = 6e

9/3 = 6e

cross multiply

3 x 6e = 9 x 1

18e = 9

divide both sides by the coefficient of e which is 18

18e /18 = 9/18

e = 1/2

therefore the value of e in the expression above is evaluated to be equals to 1/2
