Answer: Juries determine if an accused person is actually guilty for a crime which protects the general welfare of the community and other fellow citizens. Additionally, jury duty allows people to learn more about the justice system and may even cause some to gain a better appreciation or understanding of this system.

What is the purpose of mummies
pav-90 [236]
Hey there Tristenrsmith!

Egyptians believed that if they mummified a body before its burial, the body would not decompose for the afterlife, and that the body would nourish forever. They believed a soul left the body before the body was buried, and came back to get the body for the afterlife.

I hope I helped!

Although the Texas Constitution provides that the governor is the chief executive, it actually establishes executive by dividing
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Although the Texas Constitution provides that the governor is the chief executive, it actually establishes a plural executive by dividing executive powers among several independently elected officers.

Explanation:

By dividing power across various elected officials, as per the plural executive government system, the authority of the executive, which would be the governor or president, is limited. Texas utilizes a plural executive which denotes the Governor's powers are limited and dispersed amongst other representatives of government.

In other words, there's not one representative of the Texas government who is entirely responsible for the Texas Executive Branch. And all executives are elected individually, rendering them accountable to the public directly, not to the governor.
