Answer:

its memory cells that provide quicker, larger and more efficient immune response upon second and subsequent exposure to an antigen

Explanation:

Immune system is the protective shield of organisms against various foreign pathogens. The immune system is categorised into two categories;

  • Innate immune system system is general and first barrier against any pathogen. It includes several components such as skin, hair and immune cells. It is by birth and can't be acquired
  • Adaptive immune system is specific and second line of defence against foreign pathogens, found only in vertebrates. It is also called as acquired immunity because it increases with exposure. It includes several components such as antibodies and immune cells.

When a pathogen breaches the innate immune system the adaptive immunity tries to encounter it. T helper cells of immune system stimulate the production of antibodies from plasma cells. Memory cells produced in this mechanism keeps the memory of that specific antigen and cause the stimulation of greater immune response on the second exposure of that antigen.

Answer:

It's memory cells that provide quicker ,larger and more efficient immune response upon second and subsequent exposure to an antigen.

Explanation:

Adaptive immunity or acquired immunity is a process whereby some specialized cells in the immune system destroy and eliminate invading pathogens and their toxic molecules they produced. It creates immunological memory through it memory cells of pathogens it encountered before , remember it and act against some antigens. If there is second contact with the antigen it's encountered before, it provide immune response.

mafiozo [28]

Answer:

They were frugivores

Explanation:

Frugivores are animals that mainly eat raw fruits, vegetables, roots, seeds, shoots, etc. Frugivores need to eat diverse fruits and succulent fruit-like vegetables to fulfill their nutritional requirements, although they can supplement this diet with flowers, nectar, small insects, etc. Among their adaptations for fruit consumption, frugivore teeth are clearly distinct, having broad incisors to peel tough fruit rinds. Moreover, these animals generally have long small intestines to digest the fruit.
