1. Functionalism is a sociological theory that argues that societies resemble living organisms. They have a structure that is formed by different parts, and each part has a role to play, called social function, to contribute to the stability and progress of society.

Based on this view, young people could assume that the elderly's social role is not to work. Their working could be seen as a disruption to the structure of society.

2. Symbolic interactionism is a sociological theory that argues that in order to understand humans, we need to look not at the individuals, but at their interactions. It also claims that humans do not see their world exactly as it is, but instead understand it through the use of symbols.

The prejudice against the elderly could be explained from this perspective as symbolic. Older people represent things such as unproductivity, feebleness, loss of mental abilities, etc. and the adoption of this symbols causes an immediate, if unfair, reaction on the minds of the youth.

Explanation:

To understand why b) is the correct option. We have to analyze all the options.

a) predestination is a concept proposed by Cristian protestants. The concept says that all existing events have been written by god and that he knows everything that will happen since the beginning of time and that everything that happens only has meaning inside his view and plans. So it's wrong.

c)Theravadin is wrong because what it says about death is that it is certain but the time of death is uncertain and that we don't know the circumstances but that it will eventually happen. Theravada is the oldest most accepted Buddhist school and the belief in a level kind of heaven only accessible for people who have lived the certain time they are required to live to inhabit those heavens, also they have different spiritual levels, 33 to be specific.

What are the influences of family in your development as an individual
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

Physical health - Many studies have shown that positive relationships with relatives lead to more positive habits later in life, such as taking better care of yourself and making healthy food choices. In contrast, negative relationships that cause stress can lead to unhealthy eating habits and poor physical self-care.A child's learning and socialization are most influenced by their family since the family is the child's primary social group. Child development happens physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually during this time.Usually, the family environment plays a large role in shaping the identity of children as they grow into adolescence and become adults. The way family members relate to one another and operate together as a social group can shape a child's self-esteem, socialization, and cultural identity.
