Can I assume that in a professional setting there's a difference between the right thing to do and the correct thing to do?

The difference between the right thing to do is your opinion for instance if you see someone smoking the right thing to do would be to slap it out of there hand. But the correct thing to do is universally known if someone is smoking  you don't slap it out you just let them smoke.
