Answer:

 a. One solution: when the lines intersect each other.

b. No solution: when the lines are parallel.

c. Infinitely many solutions: when they are exactly the same line.

Step-by-step explanation:

For this exercise it is important to remember that the equation of a line in Slope-Intercept form is the following:

y=mx+b

Where "m" is the slope of the line and "b" is the y-intercept.

You can graph the linear equations in order to visualized if the System of Linear equations has one solution, no solutions or infinetely many solutions.

By definition, given a System of linear equations, you can get the following solutions when:

a. One solution when the lines given in the system intersect each other. The point of intersection will be the solution of the System of equations.

b. No solution when the lines given in the System of equations are parallel (You need to remember that the slopes of parallel lines are equal).

c. Infinitely many solutions when they are exactly the same line. This means that the slopes and the y-intercepts are equal.

A triangle has vertices at O(0, 0), A(1, 0), and B(0, 1). A dilation centered at (1, 0) is applied to the triangle. _______of th
Dvinal [7]

Solution:

Vertices of Triangle = O(0,0), A(1,0) and B(0,1).

Dilation Centered at (1,0) is applied to the triangle.

It means vertices of triangle has moved 1 unit horizontally right and there will be no change in vertices of y.

So, New Vertices of Triangle = O'(1,0), A'(2,0), C(1,1)

As you can see sides joining (0,0) and  (1,0) i.e preimage  And sides joining (1,0) and (2,0) i.e image  lie on the same line i.e on X axis.

So, the correct option is one  of the sides lie on the same line as their respective images.

How is it possible to simplify 2 divided by (the square root of 6)? My calculator says that it is equal to (the square root of 6
Sauron [17]

Answer:

\boxed{\frac{\sqrt{6}}{3}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiply the fraction by \frac{\sqrt{6}}{\sqrt{6}}

\frac{2}{\sqrt{6}} \times \frac{\sqrt{6}}{\sqrt{6}} = \frac{2\sqrt{6}}{6}\\

Cancel the 2s

\frac{2\sqrt{6}}{6}= \frac{\sqrt{6}}{3}

∴ \boxed{\frac{2}{\sqrt{6}} = \frac{\sqrt{6}}{3}}
