Answer: (1) $61,495

(2) $17,200

(3) $5,400

Explanation:

Given that,

sales = $275,000

costs = $188,000

other expenses = $7,900

depreciation expense = $15,200

interest expense = $13,600

taxes = $17,605

dividends = $10,500

new equity issued = $5,100

Net new long-term debt = $3,600

EBIT = sales - depreciation expense - costs - other expenses

        = $275,000 - $15,200 - $188,000 - $7,900

        = $63,900

EBT =  EBIT - Interest

       = $63,900 - $13,600

       = $50,300

EAT = EBT - Taxes

       = $50,300 - $17,605

       = $32,695

Retained earnings = EAT - Dividends

                               = $32,695 - $10,500

                               = $22,195

(1) operating cash flow = EBIT - Taxes + depreciation expense

                                      = $63,900 - $17,605 + $15,200

                                      = $61,495

(2) cash flow to creditors = Interest - Net new long-term debt

                                          = $13,600 - (-$3,600)

                                          = $17,200

(3) cash flow to stock holders = Dividend - net new equity

                                                 = $10,500 - $5,100

                                                 = $5,400

Blababa [14]

Answer:

$6,237

Explanation:

The computation of the cash required for the payment is shown below:

= Merchandise amount - return and allowances - discount

= $7,500 - $1,200 - $63

= $6,237

The discount = (Merchandise amount - return and allowances) × discount rate

= ($7,500 - $1,200) × 1%

= $63

Simply we consider the items i.e merchandise purchase amount, returned merchandise amount and the discount given amount

Firms might be tempted to cheat on the collusive agreement because each firm could achieve multiple choice 8 increased sales. hi
blagie [28]

Through price collusion, each firm would achieve higher profits.

When competing businesses agree to cooperate, such as by raising prices in order to increase profits, this is called collusion. Collusion is a strategy used by businesses to increase profits at the expense of customers and lowers market competition.

Lower consumer surplus, higher prices, and more profits for the colluding businesses are the results of collusion. It may enable oligopolists to exercise monopoly power and increase their group earnings. In an oligopoly, businesses have a strong incentive to work together.

Collusion may be a tactic used in times of unproductive economic circumstances to try and rescue the industry and save companies from going out of business, which would not be for the long-term benefit of consumers.

The MBO is a management strategy used in organizations so that there is continuous improvement in processes and organizational performance in the internal and external environment, so in a self-assessment system guided by the MBO it is necessary to develop performance standards so that there is a parameter of the sought-after ideal of employee performance, so that self-assessment is guided by such standards. In this type of strategic management, it is necessary to share the objectives throughout the organization, so that they are clear, precise and shared as part of the organizational culture.

Choose the best answer:
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

Option B is correct.

Explanation:

Option A is incorrect because the expected return must be greater than the marginal cost of the capital which means that the Net Present Value must be positive.

Option B is correct because the increase in cost of debt or capital would increase the weighted average cost of capital. This is because weighted average cost of capital is directly proportional to cost of capital sources.

Option C is incorrect because its not the cost of one of the capital sources, actually it is the weighted average cost of capital which when starts increasing at a point due to increase in the level of financing is known as breaking point.

So the only statement that is correct is option B.

Kindly don't forget to rate the answer. Thanks
