Travis got 43 dollars

Robin collected 35 percent more so we can model this with

Travis + (Travis x .35)

43 + 15.05 =58.05

Jessica colelcted 20 percent less so

Travis - (Travis x .20)

43 - 8.6 = 34.3

34.4 + 58.05 + 43 = 135.45

C is the closest

Let's see here

Let's start with how much Robin earned. 35% of 43 is 15.05. Add those two together to get 58.05, which is how much Robin earned.

If you add 58 and 43 together, you get 101, which makes everything easier from now on. Subtract 101 from every answer and take 20% of it. Which gets closest to 43 is how much Jessica earned.

You actually have the right answer circled! Which is C!

How do u determine the equation of the line through each pair of points in slope-intercept form (y=mx+b). (3,0) and (2,4) (-6,3)
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

Y =-4X +12

Y =-0.625X  -0.75

Step-by-step explanation:

(3,0) and (2,4)....

x1 y1  x2 y2

3 0  2 4

(Y2-Y1) (4)-(0)=   4  ΔY 4

(X2-X1) (2)-(3)=    -1  ΔX -1

slope= -4

B= 12

Y =-4X +12

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(-6,3) and (2,-2)
x1 y1  x2 y2
-6 3  2 -2
(Y2-Y1) (-2)-(3)=   -5  ΔY -5
(X2-X1) (2)-(-6)=    8  ΔX 8
slope= -  5/8
B= -  3/4
Y =-0.625X  -0.75
Sarah rolls a die twice. What is the probability that she rolls a 3 and then an even number?
Brrunno [24]
Answer:
A
Step-by-step explanation:
The probability of rolling a 3 is
1 /6  since there is 1 three and there are 6 sides total. The probability of rolling an even number is  1 /2  since there are 3 even numbers and 6 total sides. Multiply  1 /6  and  1 /2  and the correct answer is  1 /12 .
german
Let x be the amount (gal) of the 40% slime solution you end up using. You want to end up with 120 gal of the 50% solution, so that you would use 120-x gal of the 70% solution.
You want the final solution to consist of 50% slime, or 60 gal of slime. Each gal of the 40% solution contributes 0.4 gal of slime, while each gal of the 70% solution contributes 0.7 gal of slime. This means
0.4x+0.7(120-x)=0.5\cdot120=60
\implies0.4x+84-0.7x=60
\implies24=0.3x
\implies x=80
so the answer is B.
