frosja888 [35]

The correct answer is D; People that are under arrest must be read their rights by law enforcement.

Further Explanation:

When a person is arrested, no matter the age, they must be read their Miranda rights. This informs the person being arrested that they have the right to remain silent and that they can have an attorney. If the person being arrested is not read their Miranda rights, the charges can be dismissed in a trial.

Any type of confession that is given without the rights being read can void that confession in a court of law. The Supreme Court ruled in this case in 1966.

Explain constitutional principle of checks and balances and give examples of how each branch can check the other
frosja888 [35]
Checks and balances are a system where one branch of the government holds no more power over one another. For example, a law must be passed through the senate, and then is checked by the House of Representatives before finally being voted in. The president how ever, has more Jurors diction over both the House and the senate ultimately having the power to veto a law if necessary. (May want to double check the order I’ve said things).
