Answer:

She explains how both she and Mrs. van Daan are loving and protective of Peter.

Explanation:

Anne Frank was a Jewish little girl who was killed during the Holocaust. She was known for the diary she wrote during their time in hiding from the Gestapo or the secret police service of the Germans assigned to find out Jews.

In <em>"Anne Frank, Diary of A Young Girl"</em>, Anne details her everyday life living in seclusion from the outside world. And with them are the van Daans who along with their son Peter are also Jews. Peter came to be a close friend of Anne and there are some beliefs that there is a romantic relationship between the two.

Anne and Mrs. van Daan were poles apart, with Anne describing her as materialistic and demanding. And at times, she also always get angry with Anne for one thing or the other. She sometimes even worries abut her son spending so much time with Anne. But one thing these two women have in common is the love and protective nature/feeling they have for Peter.

Westkost [7]
I agree with the person above - although this wouldn't be my first thought when I hear the word empower, among these answers, the one that seems the most correct is A. to create a strong desire or longing.
For example:
The desire to go home empowered me.
