Answer: The rater error is called the halo effect.

Explanation: The halo effect is a cognitive bias which occurs when person A's initial positive judgment about person B unconsciously influences the perception that person A has about person B as a whole.

An example of this can be seen when a person initially thinks that someone is nice, therefore that person is intelligent.

Another example is the positive bias we have towards celebrities, based on the first impression we have about them.

Therefore, in situation given in the question above, Managers need to be careful in order that they do not rate their subordinates based on one trait only, as this would lead to the error called the Halo Effect.

zloy xaker [14]

Answer and Explanation:

The computation of amount of revenue and gross profit (loss) to be recognized in each of the three years is shown below:-

Sales revenue for the present period for 2021 = $31,00,000.00

Sales revenue for the present period for 2022 = $46,00,000.00

Sales revenue for the present period for 2023 = $23,00,000.00

Gross Profit for year 2021 = $5,58,000.00

Gross profit for year 2022 = $8,28,000.00

Gross profit for year 2023 = $2,25,400.00

To reach the sales revenue we simply deduct the Sales revenue recognized in previous period from Sales revenue recognized till date for 3 years on the other hand to compute the gross profit we simply deduct the Cost incurred during the year from Sales revenue for the present period for 3 years.

For clarification we attached the spreadsheet to reach the sales revenue and gross profit for 3 years.

Dartmouth Corporation manufactures two models of office chairs, a standard and a deluxe model. The following activity and cost
umka2103 [35]

Answer:

The total amount of overhead costs assigned to the deluxe model is $64,745 .

Explanation:

Traditional Costing System :

According to Traditional costing system, the overhead cost or indirect cost is allocated on the basis of total direct labors hours, total number of units, etc.

Overhead cost : The cost which is not related to the day to day expenses. Like - depreciation,. insurance, etc.

Steps to compute the total amount of overhead costs assigned to the deluxe model:

Step 1 : First we have to calculate the total overhead cost.

Step 2 : Now, allocation the total overhead cost to the total direct labors

Step 3 : After applying the above two steps, the answer is come.

Calculation is shown below:

Step 1 : Total overhead cost = Standard + Deluxe

                                               = $64,000 + $71,000

                                               = $135,000

Step 2: The total direct labors = Standard + Deluxe

                                                  = 255 + 235

                                                  = 490

After calculating above steps, the allocation for Deluxe is displayed below

= Total Overhead cost × Deluxe direct labors ÷ Total direct labors

= $135,000 × ( 235 ÷ 490 )

= $64,745

Thus, the total amount of overhead costs assigned to the deluxe model is $64,745 .

Qminusdot Manufacturing uses a predetermined overhead allocation rate based on direct labor hours. It has provided the following
Dvinal [7]

Answer:

A. $1.03 per machine hour

Explanation:

\frac{Cost\: Of \:Manufacturing \:Overhead}{Cost \:Driver}= Overhead \:Rate

the overhead rate will be calculated taking into consideration expected overhead and the expected amount of the cost driver

From the given amount the only value which also comes fro mthe budget is the machine hours which are expected to be 180,000

We cannot use actual values as these didn't occur at the time the company calcualte the overhead rae.

Using expected machine hours:

186,000 / 180,000 = 1.0333 = 1.03

iris [78.8K]

Answer:

$52,238.26

Explanation:

Since he is going to withdraw annually starting today over the next four years, the formula to use to calculate how much to withdraw a year is the formula for annuity due.

Basically, annuity refers to financial investment that pays investors a fixed stream of amount for a specified period. It of two types: ordinary annuity that pays at the end of the period, and annuity due that pays at beginning of the period.

Since our focus here is annuity due, we employ the following annuity due formula:

PV = P × [{1 - [1 ÷ (1+r)]^n} ÷ r] × (1+r)  ....................................... (1)

Where

A

PV = Present value of an annuity due = $200,000

P = yearly withdrawal  = ?

r = interest rate  = 3% = 0.03

n = number of years = 4

Therefore, we have:

200,000 = P × [{1 - [1 ÷ (1+0.03)]^4} ÷ 0.03] × (1+0.03)

200,000 = P × [{1 - [1 ÷ (1.03)]^4} ÷ 0.03] × (1.03)

200,000 = P × [{1 - [1 ÷ 1.12550881]} ÷ 0.03] × (1.03)

200,000 = P × [{1 - 0.888487047915689} ÷ 0.03] × (1.03)

200,000 = P × [0.111512952084311 ÷ 0.03] × (1.03)

200,000 = P × 3.71709840281037 × 1.03

200,000 = P × 3.82861135489468

Rearranging, we have:

P = 200,000 ÷ 3.82861135489468

P =  52,238.26

Therefore, $52,238.26 can be withdrawn a year.
