So you have to fine the total volume of the pool which is 1274 feet. then multiply that by 7.48 to get 9529.52. so thats how much water is held in the pool at 100%. so now you can divide 9529.52 by 10 to get you 10% of the pool which is 952.952. then multiply that by 8 to get 7623.616 gallons of water. and thats your answer.

The volume of the water in the pool is (24.5 x 13 x 4) cubic feet.

The number of gallons is (24.5 x 13 x 4 cubic feet) x (7.48 gal/cu-ft)

80% means 0.80 .

To fill the pool to 80% of capacity, it takes

         (0.8) x (24.5 x 13 x 4 cubic feet) x (7.48 gal/cu-ft) gallons.

Mrac [35]

Answer:

x=sqrt(3)/2 or -sqrt(3)/2

Step-by-step explanation:

(x,1/2) is on the unit circle at pi/6 and 5pi/6.

so x is either sqrt(3)/2 or -sqrt(3)/2

Find the surface area in terms of pl.<br>3cm<br>4 cm<br><br>A. 12π<br>B. 16.5π<br>C. 4.5π<br>D. 22π
Lera25 [3.4K]

(B) 16.5π

<u>Explanation:</u>

The shape given is a cylinder

The height, h of the cylinder = 4cm

Diameter of the cylinder = 3cm

Radius, r = 1.5 cm

Surface area of cylinder, A = ?

We know:

Surface area of cylinder = 2πrh + 2πr²

A = 2\pi r (h+r)\\\\A = 2 X \pi  X 1.5 ( 4 + 1.5)\\\\A = 16.5\pi

Therefore, the surface area would be 16.5π

Calculator
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

{84mm}^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of square= l×l

Area of square= 6mm × 6mn

Area if square = 36 mm²

Area of triangle 1= ½b ×h

Area of triangle 1= ½ (6mm)(8mm)

Area of triangle 1 = 24 mm²

Area of triangle 2 is the same as area of traingle 1 because they have the same base and hight

: . area of triangles is 48mm²

Area of the figure= Area of square + Area of triangles

A of figure = 36+48

A of figure = 84 mm²

Option 2

Use trapezium formula

Area of trapezium= (a+b)/2 * h

a=6 mm (base)

b=8+6=14 mm (Base)

h= 6mm (height)

area \: of \: trapezium = ( \frac{6 + 14}{2} )(6) \\  = 60mm ^{2}

Therefore the area of triangle= 24mm² as calculated in option 1

Area of the figure= Area of trapezium +Area of triangle

Area of figure = 60+24

= 84 mm²
