Answer:

He is most likely a humanistic psychologist.

Explanation:

Humanistic Psychology centers on the individual as a whole, its main focus is to help the individual achieve his/her well-being and discover his/her potentials.

It focuses on an individual's free will and motivation to achieve his/her goals in life. Another important fact about the humanistic approach is that it does not refer to an individual as a patient but rather as a client.

It is possible Dr. Petrovic is a humanistic psychologist since he helps his clients understand how their behavior reflects the choices they've made.

When determining the severity of a patient's heart failure, which laboratory test provides the most information?
Nadya [2.5K]

The severity of a patient's heart failure, which laboratory test provides the most information Serum B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) level

Does BNP suggest cardiac failure?

In individuals who have previously been diagnosed with heart failure or cardiac dysfunction, BNP level is a reliable indicator of risk of death and cardiovascular events. Up until recently, there was no easy blood test that could diagnose heart failure, track its progression, or suggest a course of treatment.

Why is the BNP test used?

Most frequently, heart failure is either diagnosed or ruled out using a BNP test or an NT-proBNP test. The test may be used to: Assess the severity of heart failure if you've already been given the diagnosis. Treatment strategy

Does BNP indicate how serious a heart failure is?

The occurrence, severity, and absence of heart failure are all highly correlated with the BNP concentration. In fact, the New York Heart Association functional categorization categorizes it as having a value that rises with increasing severity.

How is heart failure measured by BNP?

Brain natriuretic peptide is a hormone that is measured by the test. BNP is produced when your heart is failing due to pressure buildup in the heart's chambers. This hormone is highly released by the heart when blood flow is impaired and the heart has to work harder. Your blood vessels are made wider by BNP, which helps with circulation.

Lucas is fighting with his younger brother over a toy. His father breaks up the fight and gently explains to Lucas how he could
marysya [2.9K]

Answer:

Authoritative

Explanation:

There are 4 different styles of parenting:

 • Authoritarian
 • Authoritative
 • Permissive
 • Uninvolved

Both Authoritative and authoritarian styles of parenting focus on authority, this means that they set rules and expect their children to follow the rules.

However, the authoritarian parenting is a cold style of parenting which doesn't allow for questions from the kids ("because I say so") so there is a one directional style of communication. These parents focus on punishing the wrong behavior and they believe in total control and lack of independence from their children.

Authoritative parents are nurturing so they are warmer than the Authoritarian parents, they allow children to ask why so they explain limits by reasoning with their kids, they also focus on teaching the right behaviors rather than punishing the wrong ones and when there are wrong behaviors they focus on consequences rather than on punishments.

Permissive parents think "kids will be kids" so they tend to be very forgiving when it comes to rules and they don't usually set consequences, but, when they do, they don't really stick to them.

Uninvolved parents are cold and distant but also they don't expect much from their children so, basically, their children lack attention, and we can say they are neglected.

In this example, Lucas is fighting over a toy. His father breaks the fight and explains to Lucas how he could have avoided the fight (instead of scolding), Lucas is encouraged to share his feelings and share with his brother.

We can see that there are rules in this family (you are not supposed to fight) and that Lucas' father expects Lucas to follow those rules. However, Lucas' father reasons with him and teaches him the right behavior (share with his brother) rather than punishes the wrong behavior (the fight), he seems to be nurturing by the way he deals with the situation so we can say he is most likely and Authoritative parent.
